Azeez Dehalvi ‘Girte Hain Sheh Sawaar’

What does the poem mean to you? 

It means that failures are only experienced by people who try and how can one expect anything including failure who never tried. Failure is a part and evidence of one’s efforts. I heard these lines from my mother. These lines are my favorite because they always inspire me whenever I face any failure or get unsuccessful in achieving what I had hoped for. They tell me that failure is part of the process and I should keep trying.

Only the people riding the horse fall from it on a battlefield

What does the poem mean to you? 

I heard this poem first time, from my parents. I like it because it relaxes my mind during the most stressful times.

چلا رہا ہے

وہی خدا ہے

دکھائی بھی جو نہ دے نظر بھی

جو آ رہا ہے (ہے)

وہی خدا ہے

نظر بھی رکھے، سماعتیں بھی

وہ جان لیتا ہے، نیتیں بھی

جو خانۂ لا شعور میں (جو خانۂ لا شعور میں)

جگمگا رہا ہے (ہے)

وہی خدا ہے

English Translation:

​Someone is there who is managing the order of life

He is invisible still He can be seen

He keep eyes and ears too, He knows even the intentions

The one who is illuminated in our subconscious minds
