  • Far Off – Nigh To
  • Hello, my name is Ravi. Currently pursuing Infection and Immunity MSc. Literature and poetry are my passions. Below this piece of work is my own which I wrote on 11th July 21. A verse from Ephesians 2:11,12,13 inspired me. This is my own life experience that I would like to share with you.

    I was far off
    Hitherto rambling and
    encompassed by the World

    I was far off
    Bewitched – Beguiled,
    an enmeshed quotidian figure

    I was far off
    Grotesquely Malformed,
    A Damned Being I reckon.

    I was far off
    Bogged down,
    Longing for Beautiful succour

    I was far off
    Fluttering – akin
A butterfly propped upon a hopeless world

    Yet
    Hithermost Dazzling Truth supposes
    Uttering, “I’m here for you”
    Wretched: Who are you?
Truth: I Am That I Am.

At last, brought Near to the
    ‘Atoning Redeeming Hope’

    It’s
    Indestructible – non-erasable,
    Enduring, Reverberating Joy
    Whispers in My Heart:
    You’re A “Restyled Redeemed Being”

    Regards,
    Raviteja Darlanka.

    Hello Raviteja,

Thank you so much for this wonderful contribution! The way you explore the subject of redemption is fascinating, and thank you for including a comment on the source of your inspiration. Do you write poetry often?

    Best Wishes, Hollie
